In the US, the average would be about $1923 per week.
Actual earning depend on specialty and location. Since many doctors are self employed (operate their own practice), they have the ability (like any other business) to earn much more or much less.
Earning $2000 per week ($8K+ per month) puts that $1000 a month student loan payment into perspective.
add: Sneterton, if you're going to correct someone's grammar, make certain yours is correct. Otherwise you look like an ***. You wrote "More that you ever will, with spelling like that." First, it's "than" not "that" and second, we don't need a comma here.

thousands. my guess is anywhere from $2000 - $10,000 or more. Depends what type of doctor. Surgeons earn a lot, while general practice doctors earn respectable amounts but not near as much. In other words, the more specialized doctors typically earn the most money.

The average GP earns over £100,000 a year so that's over £2000 a week! Fully qualified hospital doctors earn even more!
