The weight limitations would very from person to person. Obviously the less weight you carry around the quicker you can potentially move. I play with a couple of big guys that continue to surprise me at how well they move.

There is no season like this season. You have the US Open to spur you on along with other tournaments.

As far as were in Sandy Utah you can go... Try "The boys and girls clubs of america" in your area, often if you go to a public court you will see people getting private lessons, you can often find a teacher that way. Possibly word of mouth. If you are still in school, your school may offer a program. Most Community Colleges will offer a program as well.

Have fun

i don't know what is your game level, but you can start by picking up games at different tennis courts and university like U of U. i used to live in salt lake, i just pack my gear and watch which players are more of my level; asked them if i can hit with them, exchange phone numbers. i made a lot of friends that way.
there is no "weight limit", i am not sure what you mean by that, there is, however, USTA rating, not necessary to get rated but if you want to play league games, you need to get rated. to do that, find a tennis club, like canyon racket club, ask the teaching pro to rate you, i think there is a fee.
The best season playing in salt lake (and many other cities) is fall i think, summer is too hot and winter too cold, plus you have the snow to deal with. there are a few indoor courts in salt lake but expensive, U of U indoor court is reasonable priced.

there's no weight limit. young children play it. contact your local parks and recreation or the YMCA. even if they don't have anything, they could tell you where to go. living in Utah, I'd think you could play year round.
