I don't believe Forbes for one thing. They lie. Believe me buddy the REAL most powerful people and wealthiest people in the world DO NOT get reported in Forbes.
People like the Rothschild and Rockefeller familes. These are the richest people in the world but they DO NOT want this to be reported and because they own the banks that lend money to the media companies they do not report this.
So don't believe Forbes for one thing. I would say the most powerful woman financially is the Queen of England in reality because of her vast economic power which has never been accurately revealed. I don't know if that is what Forbes said though.
But whatever they said take with a grain of salt (whatever that saying means) : )

I'd say that currently it's Angela Merkel, the German Chacellor, she's running one of the worlds largest economies and most powerful military machines. If Forbes says Oprah's more powerful than Merkel, then Forbes is wrong.

I saw this woman in an airport last month that had arms on her that would make Mr Universe weak in the knees. Pretty scary, actually. I'm sure she is the most powerful woman in the world.

Technically the Queen - if she exercised her power she would be the ABSOLUTE ruler (i.e. no questions asked, complete loyalty, totally despotic) of the UK and its dominions including Australia and Canada. Parliament and the prime minister are ASKED by her to form a government to rule on her behalf, she could technically revoke that right and rule without democracy.
In reality Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany, Europe's most powerful country; though I'd say Condaleeza Rice was pretty high up there.
