it is a betrayal of the heart and mind, might not be physical, but it is just as bad.

This is my opinion on this. I don't consider it as adultery at all. And this is the reasoning behind that: there is no physical or emotional contact. BUT and that is a huge BUT, it can be viewed as a betrayal. A betrayal of trust because usually cyber sex goes on behind the partner's back. And if it is being done behind someone's back, they shouldn't be doing it. IMHO

It's betrayal, adultery, cheating. It's no different than physically having an affair. It hurts just as much to the one being cheated on and it causes lots of pain to others. If you love your partner there shouldn't be any reason to have any type of affair, a real one or cybering, if you don't love your partner, then you need to go and let them get on with their life.

As a roommate to a man obsessed with cyber sex, I can definitely say it is cheating. There is no connection at all with what's around him or what's going on in his life. It's as though he left this world entirely. I don't know how a spouse could tolerate that.

I know not everybody is a avid church-goer, and I can't remember the exact wording, but the Bible says:
"If thou hath looketh upon a woman with desired eyes, then thou hath already committed Adultery." This can also be the other way around.. if the woman looks at the other man, etc.
I believe that this is so. When one is married, the only woman/man on his/her mind should be his/her/ husband/wife.
Like i said, not everybody is Christian like me, but isn't that an interesting way to look at it?

A cheat is a cheat. Cyber or reality. It's betrayal, and only a moron would lie to themselves that it isn't.

I would consider this as betrayal to ones partner...to me it is considered an emotional affair...which in turn would be cheating on ones partner.

whatever it is to me...if its cheating to my partner, than i am knowingly doing something knowing it will hurt them, and im putting my desires before their happiness. doing that, to me is wrong, no matter whut my opinion of cybering is..*blushes* ⥠uh, there are exceptions tho..liek if ur partner doesnt want u to talk to ur friends, cuase their afraid of u cheating, that not fair, but cybering is a resonable thing for soemone to object to

No, I believe it is considered cheating. Same as any other actions you would not do in front your partner. If you need to go do that with another stranger then you shouldn't be with your partner. They don't deserve that kind of treatment.
