I'd suggest "We are the Young" By McFly (for more upbeat) "Walk In the Sun" By Mcfly ( slower) or if your looking for real kids songs i would suggest a song off of one of the marykate and ashley olsen cd's or i would suggest taking a karaoke song thats upbeat (but doesn't have any words) to play as background music.

WELL, KIDS THESE DAYS LIKE THINGS LIKE "CRANK THAT" BY SOULJA BOY, "WALL TO WALL" BY CHRIS BROWN. WE LIKE SONGS THAT ARE MORE URBAN AND HIP- HOP!!! I HOPE THIS HELPED YOU!!!
