Cracka I posted it again because someone had it removed - I'm an anti-socialist who has reached level 3 - - don't you know that means my days are numbered on Y/A?

They let ME get to level 6 and be a Top Contributor before they had me suspended. WHO CARES? If I lost an arm would my POINTS help me then...I just don't get it.

HERE HERE, BRAVO, and KUDOS on your question. I am not against helping the poor but the Government WASTES so darn much money I don't think it is in my best interest to trust them with my money. I would rather give to charities and have THEM help the poor.

Not a leftie, and I know many folks who also are not leftists who understand the problems that 45 million uninsured cause our society and our country. I wouldn't be crazy about my taxes going up, but I'm not so sure that it will be a significant jump. I think it would serve everyone best to wait until it becomes clear which UHC plan seems the best, and wait to see how it will be paid for. How it will be paid for is the most unclear aspect of this right now. Before we go off screaming about it, perhaps we should wait and see which plan rises to the top, and what the specifics are. Just my opinion.

When we don't pay for things like infrastructure we have things like bridge collapses.

When we don't pay for things like education we have social collapses i.e., firms taking their business and high tech development into other areas of the world such as Ireland and Chile.

When we don't pay to assist the children (note I said the children) of people who for what ever reason can't make ends meet we have pay to build prisons and operate prisons to hold them when they have grown.

Much of our tax money goes directly into the defense budget and to companies like Haliburton and Blackwater (see link). I don't want to pay for their programs of destruction and rebuilding which fill their pockets with money.

Look (link) how little we spend on education; the process by which we replace the hardworking, taxpaying, home buying, business starting people of this country.

no dice, i've known too many republicans to buy that. republicans expect "everyone else to pay" for their plans too. don't act like the republican party has a recent history of being conservative or something.

EDIT::: You knew you'd get burned by the Iraq War on this. Why try to make a point that's simply not there?

You know I starting to figure you out Truthisback.

And I have a suggestion.

Since obvious that everyone else is wrong, which leads me to believe that you are sexually frustrated obviously.

Step 1.

Go hit your local video store, preferably the adult section.

Step 2.

Get at least three or four movies, adult ones.

Step 3.

Fire off some five-fingered knuckle children.

Step 4.

Go to the strip club and make an attempt at picking on up a stripper. Don't worry even though you're shy they will talk with you. It's there job.

Step. 5

If that doesn't work go back home pop in another movie and fire off some more five-fingered knuckle children.

Ask any Liberal it works! Obviously!

Since everyone else hit you on Iraq I would like to add the billion dollars we are wasting on the drug war as something I no longer want to pay for.

I'm not against children going to school, and I don't have any children, yet I'm paying for that in my taxes.

I'm not b!tching about that. Anyone who has a child going to school ought to be grateful they're not footing the whole bill.

If you'd like to donate a bigger share to the Iraq war, I would happily let you pay for mine since I don't believe in it.

That's fine, you neocons can pay for your own war in Iraq. This will be interesting considering that the Blue states have alot more money then the Red states.

Agreed. Just like Bush's $500 billion dollar war. And Reagan's $800 billion dollar hoax called "Star Wars".

Some times the nation has to pay for things people don't want to pay for.. it's part of majority rules... same as I'm paying taxes that are funding a war in Iraq I don't agree with.
