I think it's none of my business (or the government's) whom an adult wants to marry. There is no victim. There should be no problem. If we could free our government from religiofacists, this could turn into the non-issue that it should be.

I think same-sex marriages is a sign of gay and lesbian pride, and that homosexuality works. While the United States is a free nation, some politicians oppose gay marriage because they thought it's a sin, but let's ignore them and turn to the gay and lesbian rights activists and discuss about this main issue. You are right....love is love, love doesn't have a gender, and that everyone is born with their sexuality. Love doesn't necessarily mean true romance with a person that you really adore; it also means the adoration of possessions that you own and the friends and family members that you like. Even if you have feelings for another man or woman, you're not ignoring yourself. It's love.

I'll admit it. I'm a bit homophobic. If some guy checks me out on the elevator, I get a little weirded out.
That being the case, what another person does in their own privacy is their business. The only business that government has in defining marriage is who to tax and what to regulate. If you take the trouble to read some of my past answers, you'll see that I'm pretty solidly in favor in reducing the business in government in general.
Government has no legitimate business defining marriage.

I don't really care what same sex people do in their bedroom. But if I have to pay for what they do, I have a problem with that.

The fact is, married people get tax benefits and when they have children, they get deductions.
Me, as a single guy don't get the tax benefits that married couples get. When the couples get a tax cut, that means my taxes are supporting the married couples, among other things.
So, if the gay or otherwise married couples get the same tax benefits as singles, I have no problem. But if they get benefits that singles don't get, then there is a bias toward a certain way of life, and that is unfair.

Yes, love is love but . . . there are boundaries to it. Otherwise what is stopping humans from marrying canines? When someone looks for love in the wrong gender there is usually an underlining reason for it. AND the good book says "man shall not lay down with man" and since woman came from man, it goes the same for both genders!

God gave us the freedom of choice sexuality is one of those choices we make.
I would not think Jesus would want me to judge or condemn. Their is always a lot more to a story then what we know.
I will treat all people as I believe Jesus would have with love compassion, understanding, forgiveness.
One example of this is when Jesus saved an adulteress from stoning. A crime I have know doubt about its evilness. He pointed out that we have all sinned and we must learn to forgive.
This is the only way we can have freedom from terror is when we all learn to forgive.

I don't like the idea of people saying certain people can do things, and other people can't. I don't see what harm it does, and as far as any religious issues, the bible says its not man's place to judge anyway.
It sure does stir up very powerful emotions in people. I don't know why they are so afraid of homosexuals marrying each other. It all seems somewhat strange to me.

I'm a divorce attorney, so I am all in favor of same sex marriage:
First - 10% more business
Second - you KNOW "gay divorce" is going to be nastier than "straight divorce"!
Seriously - adults over the age of consent, who are not mentally disabled, should be allowed to marry any other adult.
Parties should be spending their time and money INCREASING the penalties on adults who prey on children.

Personal view doesn't matter. I think such legislative issues clearly fall into the hands of the states to individually decide (for their own state), and should NOT be a federal issue.

Agreed. You can't choose who you love (though sometimes it would be nice...).
I understand why some people oppose it for religious reasons, but that does not mean gay couples shouldn't be recognized by the state.
