Is monogamy really the best way to have a relationship?Surely polygamy would resolve the issue of the seven year itch?

My brother was in an open marriage because he thought polygamy was natural. His wife ended up leaving him for another man who was monogamous. She said she couldn't take my brother's love seriously. My brother was devastated. He thought their marriage would work as long as they were open and honest with one another. But at the end of the day, he wasn't prepared to be dumped for another guy. Yes, monogamy may be old fashioned and dull and polygamy may seem like a more sexually exciting but it comes at a high price.
I know I could never take a man seriously who wanted a polygamous arrangement or who thought cheating was OK. I just would never put my faith or trust in him. He would always be Mr. Right Now instead of Mr. Right (entertaining for the moment, replaceable in the future).

I think that if you are raised to accept polygamy as a social norm, it would work fine. It should be a legal alternative in America for those that wish to practice it.

A poygamist has to satisfy a woman every day (so that all are satisfied and slept with often enough), to make sure she doesn't leave for some body with more stamina and vigour in that thing. Could you handle the situation?
