I just don't get his appeal. Is it a Baby Boomer thing or something?

Most of the fans I know are of the Baby Boomer Generation.......and their very straightlaced.......its an enigma. But then again, they don't get why many of my generation love Dave Matthews Band or The Black Crowes....

Jimmy Buffett has been coasting on his old material since 1980. Unfortunately a lot of people my age and older (47) have been supporting this schmuck. He writes all these lame semi-tropical sounding fantasy songs about senoritas, living in the tropics, and staying drunk all the time, and all these pot-bellied, bald-headed comb-over wearing, business suit drone idiots of my generation that vote Republican like to put on Hawaiian shirts, go to his concerts and pretend that they're in the college frat house all over again. Disgusting stuff, makes me sick. I'd sooner listen to My Chemical Romance, and I hate My Chemical Romance.
Not all people who were born in the Baby Boomer generation are dorks, but Buffett fans definitely make me ashamed to share a generation with them.

Oh, man...am I glad you asked this! I went to a Jimmy Buffet concert about 3 years ago and I couldn't believe how horrible it was. Everything about it was cheesy. His sound equipment was so bad that all it did was ricoche off of the forum walls and you couldn't understand a thing that he was singing unless you knew the song by heart. He played so long that I thought I was going to die of boredom. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to tell my story. Wow! I don't see the appeal at all. It's good to know that I am not the only one. haha

He is relaxed laid back and really enjoys what he does.The average person enjoying himself. having some fun in the sun.
