1959- The US gives Iran a 5-megawatt nuclear reactor
which became operational in 1967

Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in 1968 and ratified it in 1970.

The Islamic Revolution in 1979 saw the overthrow of a CIA back Dictatorship-The Shah (KING)

Israel, a nuclear state, as never signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. By NOT declaring nuclear capabilities, Israel doesn't have to let inspectors in!

The Iranians took their own country back, to escape Britain and US control of their oil. And to rid themselves of a brutal dictatorship!

The US now arms Iran's neighbors with nuclear weapons. And has been painting Iran into a corner with threats of WAR! Iran isn't a threat to the US, nor is Iran a threat to Israel!

It's the US and Israel that has been threatening Iran!

Great question, Jess.

There are several purposes that America will go to war with Iran for.

1) To protect the US dollar. Iran is beginning to sell their oil for currencies besides the US dollar. If Iran is successful, the value of the US petro-dollar will tumble hard.

2) To secure US energy and strategic interests. Eliminating Iran will allow America to rule the middle east without much opposition, and have undisputed control over the flow of OIL.

3) To get the OIL before Russia and China gets control of it from Iran.

4) To profit, from OIL and from selling weapons.

5) If these above conditions are met, the powers that be will have a virtual control over the world trade, economy, and virtually unchecked power (i.e., world domination).

But if the government gave these reasons, majority of Americans will not like it. So, the government has to sugar coat it (i.e. LIE) and say it's to get rid of terrorists and the nuclear weapon factories, and to spread democracy and freedom.

Maybe one good reason would be to prevent the Middle East from devolving into a mound of green glass after the dust settles. When folks tell me that my country needs to be wiped off the face of the earth I believe them. When that country makes no bones about developing nuclear weapons (Its an open secret even to U. N. acknowledges) that makes a lot of folks very nervous especially those in the line of fire. Libs want everyone just to sit back and wait and see. Real easy to do when your own *** isn't on the line. We have a duty and responsibility to protect ourselves and our friends if the need arises. For once maybe the world should come up to our standards instead of the U.S. having to lower its standards to placate our adversaries. I don't want my furture and the future of my children and grandchilden determined by some of these nutcases. If it is going to take a fight to assure a safe future for all of us then so be it. Shrinking from our responsibilities will not protect our way of life but will only guarantee a larger confligration down the road. Thats a fact.

When did we do that? Oh the US didn't go to war with Iran? Is talking about thing they do now classed as war? You should get with the jerk yesterday who says if Congress doesn't offically declare war we can't attack anyone.

Gee, I don't know, let's see, how about preventing a radical Islamo-Fascist nation from attaining nuclear weapons that it will use to attack Israel and other neighbors as well as pass the technology to terrorist organizations? Does that work?
