I think Senator Craig should use this incident to bring up the big problems with the judicial system in the USA. Lots of innocent people plea bargain because the costs are less and they believe it will go away much quicker. I think, in Craig's case, that the person who was interviewing him should be brought up on charges of intimidation and I think that Senator Craig should petition the courts to withdraw his guilty plea and go full force into court and the whole issue. If he is truly innocent as he claims he is, then he deserves to be tried by a jury of his peers and this whole rotten judicial system needs to be exposed. Plea bargains are nothing more than bribery and obstruction of justice. Therefore, I don't think plea bargains should be legal. I think we need to get down to doing proper police work, weeding out the crooked police and crooked police actions and expose all this corruption. We need to enforce the laws of the land instead of allowing the rich to "bribe their way out" via plea bargains while the poor and disadvantaged end up having to plea bargain because they can't afford the time off work and the legal fees. This is not justice. I think the whole thing was a set up to try to get control of the Senate again (the Republicans). Do you notice how quickly people are willing to believe scandal? They aren't so quick to believe that a person is innocent until proven guilty and they aren't so quick to understand that we have a corrupt legal system that will cause a person to cop a plea instead of getting the justice he truly deserves. Let's enforce the laws equally let's stop with the plea bargain crap. If police can't get the evidence in a legal way and if they don't have enough evidence to go to trial, then acquit!

Oh, way to go Westhill. Now some dumb lib is going to create a conspiracy theory that Alberto planted the u/c to bust a gay senator to take the limelight off of himself.

WAY TO GO... you fed the trolls.

J/K... and frankly, I don't care about either topic. I am tired of hearing about a city built below sea level that *SHOCK* fell underwater in a massive hurricane.
I don't care what "oreintation" the senator is. I am not the judge he'll face for it someday.
And I am very much aware of the fact that no one seems to think a Sep 11th type attack will ever happen again. I am so disconnected from my fellow countrymen now, I am writing in Jessica Alba for president because if there's gonna a tart in the office, I would rather not feel a desire to gouge out my eyeballs.

No, the Gonzales resignation was just the last shoe to drop in a played-out psuedo-scandal, and anniversaries are never that big a deal. I'm sure it was a welcome distraction from the Democrat's campaign financing scandals, though.

It's a house of cards. But any scandal is fun. Makes you wonder how they will top the last. They always find a way.

By golly,

You are on to something.

The bad thing is I am a republican...

Until I find someone who I think will actually do what he/she says and who actually shows me a plan then I would rather say with the evil I know rather than the evil I don't know...

Politicians in America...Pretty sad state of affairs isn't it.

in the 1st place, the Senator did not "coerce" everybody as you reported. enable's get the info promptly. Your asserting issues, themes, that have not been shown, your taking the cops ingredient without looking at what the Senator has reported and, what number each physique is in detention center by using fact of people such as you that ingredient their finger without looking on the info. Or, are you a "rumor monger, a gossip starter?" i does not have the slightest theory what gays do in relax rooms yet, i think of it extremely is ridiculous. President Bush has intervened with the Senator, i'm hoping for that cops sake, he's suited and could coach it. The senator has a great form of huge names in the back of hin now and is going out for the exterior of that cop. From what I study, that cop is fascinating, and has allured twelve people into arrest and is now looking at his very own profession in the branch. i be conscious of for a actuality, the Minneapolis police branch has a extreme crime fee, the city in itself needs help with crime, not fascinating gays into an arrest. Why isn't this cop, if he's so sturdy, out catching genuine criminals, i concept the motto of maximum police departments replaced into "to guard and serve" i could desire to care much less if somebody "bumps" my foot in the widely used public restrooms, in some your elbow to elbow in any case, they are so cramp mutually, so what? does that advise I could desire to rigidity approximately getting arrested. supply me a wreck.
