The ultimate fate of humanity is not governed by what famous physicists or cosmologists say! The system of God is not disordered at any stage as has been stipulated by Stephen Hawking in his famous book "a brief history of time". There is no end to thinking by human beings... as many human beings... as many chains of thoughts can there be!
At no stage in life shall the system made by God Almighty crumble. If the complete oil on Mother Earth exhausts... new channels of energy generation would unfold on its own! That is how the system of God Almighty runs. In the cosmic system chances of complete failure are nil. There can be plagues, tsunamis and earthquakes but never a complete failure!
Everything in the cosmic system moves in a circle! The present society is passing through the Kali Yuga phase of life... rather ghor Kali Yuga phase when the clock rings 4 a.m. in the morning. There is time still before mankind witnesses the dawn of a new area... the golden period! Beyond 2014 is expected the golden era... the golden period!
The coming five years... the period between 2007 and 2012 is very critical for the mankind. A fight to the finish between Christianity and Islamic Dharma is expected around 2012 when 1200 million people are expected to perish! A nuclear third world war... the mother of all wars is not likely to delay beyond 2012.
The world war 3 was expected in 1998 ~1999... It got postponed! It was subsequently expected around 2003 but again it did not happen. The residual balance of karma of all human beings living on Mother Earth (6500 million people) dictates the start of world war 3 around 2012. All is the result of a karma that cannot err! As is the karma of mankind... accordingly be the results!
The moment clock rings 5 a.m. in the morning... it announces start of world war 3... A period in the history of mankind that shall be remembered forever! No reprieve for anyone... every single human being on Mother Earth... rather every living being would suffer world over. Those who have committed sin would suffer the most.
Another five more years to go... and added to it 3 years phase of transition... the world shall witness the golden era... something totally unprecedented... almost unbelievable! Wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches taking a back seat... a pot of gold found lying in the backyard would not have a claimant!
Bhagwan Kalki... an Avatar of the modern era (God manifest in human form) shall advent around 2014. One single person... commands a following of 2000 million people world over... The respect this one gentleman commands would precede anything world has ever witnessed before. Truthfulness and logistics would be the yardstick of this commoner! Revelations was about the millennium. Two of which have come and gone, no end yet. The world (society) has ended many times in the past, yet mankind survives and thrives. The usual ways are by nature. Such as a global pandemic, or other disaster. The population gets knocked back a great deal, and the survivors start over. The destructive forces of mankind are pitiful in comparison with mother nature.
My hope is that our knowledge base will survive too. So they won't have to repeat the same mistakes.

To me, the world is like a carton of milk it as an expiration date, It will be good for a while and then it will spoil. If we where still very primitive the Earth would definitely be in a lot better condition. Only we can stop global warming. But say the world does not go out by global warning, say it goes out by some other major scenario ( you can think up a million) I would think something like a major war we would not be able to stop in less your some general. All I am saying is that the fate of the world is in are hands some what, and in the other hand not so much.

The ultimate fate of humanity is and will be MORE.
Already we are witnessing an evolution in humanity's energy distribution system from seven chakras to twelve. For example here is a quote from our 4 yr. old daughter as she spoke about her school friend Linda. She was still 3 at that time.
" Sometimes when I am close to Linda, I get confused as to whether I am Sara or Linda."
My first daughter, age 42, though very intelligent from my point of view, would never have come up with such an advanced concept at age 3 or ever for that matter. It is describing the working of a higher emotional center which though we all have the potential for using is almost always atrophied.
To try to describe where we are going is as impossible as trying to understand the ancient scriptures because of the difference in our evolutionary stages.
P.S. Sophist, that is great stuff. Yours?

Long before overpopulation becomes a concern, humanity will kill itself off through war and related self-created circumstances or be killed off by and outward force, such as a massive shift in global climate, and by this I'm not talking about "global warming" as much as I'm talking about the natural evolution and paradigm shifts of any planet or environment. The matter of religious "end of days" is a matter of faith and interpretation but like all things, one way or another, we will come to an end. 99% of the species that have ever lived on the face of the earth are extinct. There's no reason to believe human beings will be able to dodge that inevitability. It's just the way of nature and common sense. It's not a matter of "if" as much as it is when and how. The notion of over-population and lack of resources is grossly over-estimated. If humanity were able to put aside political and philosophical differences, and barring any massive shift in the global environment, an asteroid, etc we could continue to grow and reproduce for thousands and thousands of years. We've barely tapped the resources the earth presently has.

I think that something is going to happen which will shake the world and unify the people. It maybe a nuclear war that brings the world to it's senses. It maybe a visit from another planet that wakes people up. We may get to a level with global warming that most of the land is covered by water.

Well I'm an atheist if u will. I believe that we won't die because some higher being wills us too. We're already killing our earth. Global warming is a huge problem but some people don't take it seriously. That'll most likely be the end of us. We're not meant to die because someone wants us to. We just will because of our foolishness.

The bible truthfully professes a restored Paradise Earth. Although there might be a load of tribulation first. I suppose that what we're seeing correct now could be the opening of that.

I think that if we slow down on our evil ways as in destroying our environment and polluting our water and other things like that, that we know are going to kill us we will live to the see the coming of Christ..
other then that the earth is going to become so abused the human population will become like the dinosaurs once were..lol..

As we know, humanity doesn't have any meaning at all. The only message we receive is to live. The rest on how we will live a better life or a worse life or when the world end or what u are thinking or belief are mere conceptions. They exist to fill your blank. As one earthling, I really hope humanity would end so i can rest in peace without participating in this argument. Our future can only get more complicated as population increases ETC and doomed to fall. Lastly, this conversation holds no real purpose as it is meaningless so don't comment on this.
