I'm heading to Gatlinburg, TN in November and need some recommendations for fun things to do. I've already check on Dollywood and unfortunately it will be closed the days I'm visiting. Any other ideas?

OMG, I love Gatlinburg! We go every year in Feb, and were going this year in Oct. If I'm not mistaken they should be still having the fall festival in part of Nov. They have crafts and all kinds of things like that. Have you been to the Ripley's Aquarium? or Ripley's Believe it or not? There's so many things to do, I cant began to start lol. Horseback riding is always a must for us, also the Dixie Stampede, We usually do the glow in the dark bowling, not to mention all the shops, Laser Tag, and putt-putt!!
And as far as good eats, we ALWAYS eat a Calhoun's, and the Pancake House. YUM!

Also you can go to www.gatlinburg.com and request a free info packet that has all kinds of brochures of things to do.

You'll have a blast! Have fun!

There are a lot of great things to do. There are mini golf places everywhere as well as little amusement parks, there is a great outlet mall with great stores such as Nike, Gap, Old Navy, etc. You can also check out the Ripley's Believe it or Not Aquarium. You can have dinner at the Dixie Stamped (owned by Dolly Parton) or enjoy a comedy show at the Comedy Barn. You can go horseback riding or visit the Smokie's National Park, etc. If you need accommodations, I have 1,3 and 4 bedroom cabins that you can rent. There are lots of shopping and entertainment opportunities in the area. Great Smoky Mountains National Park, for one, well worth a day or two of exploration. Roaring Forks Motor Trail. Cade's Cove. Pigeon Forge. Cherokee Reservation across the GSMNP in NC. Biltmore in Asheville, NC. Pick up a coupon book at practically any vendor in the area.

They will love the Dixie Stampede. Splash Country does open toward the end of May but you never can tell with the weather around here. It may be too cold.
