The world. Al Gore is the author presenting the facts that are changing our world.

There is very solid science behind every thing he presented which is why the White House has FINALLY acknowledged that global warming is real.

Actually, Al Gore is way off in what he is saying in this book. If you want the truth, check out the link from Hillsdale College. You will then learn that global warming is a cyclical 1500 year event that we have little or no control over. To think otherwise would be arrogant.

Our planet.

If you want to read more about your answerer who calls it a pack of lies, Newsweek did a great article on Global warming deniers two weeks ago.

I would say that the main character would be the GREAT BIG PACK OF LIES!. It's prevalent throughout so I would classify that as a "main character".
