Sure is here for us in this part of coastal GA. Finally got some much needed rain and what a treat it was to wake up to the sound of it! Plus I've had a humming bird entertaining me all morning at the flowers right outside the kitchen window. Hope that you're having a great day too, and that you're finding pleasure in the simple things around us. Enjoy the Labor Day weekend everyone.

It's a fantastic day in Redcliffe, Queensland Australia. Until a week ago we had drout conditions and water restrictions. It rained solid for five days and left fresh new grass everywhere. Today it was sunny, not a cloud in the sky and a pleasant 25 degrees (celcius). From our front balcony we look out across Moreton Bay and in the distance we can see the Tangalooma resort on Moreton Island with its sandy beaches. Of an evening they hand-feed dolphins with fish - quite an experience.
Immediately opposite our apartment we have a fresh water creek teeming with all types of sea birds. We wake up in the morning to hundreds of ducks and ibis feeding their young chicks. (It's Springtime here in OZ).
We have an idylic place to live, just 20 minutes drive North of Brisbane airport, lovely beaches, sidewalk cafes on our beach-front, cycling and walking tracks, sporting clubs, swimming pools, library, museum, cultural centre, all within 300 metres of our home. Beautiful one day,... perfect the next.

Wow. That is amazing. We actually have a little bit of nice breeze today. I too am watching my hummingbirds feed. I am also noticing that I need to make more sugar water for them. I am watching mine from the dining room window where my computer is. There is a large buddleia bush there as well. So, some butterflies are about. Good sign of a nice autumn heading our way. I sure miss the ocean, though. There is a monarch butterfly on my buddleia (butterfly bush) right now.
Happy Labor Day to you, my friend.

Wonerful! We must live close to each other. In northern florida is in high 80's more rain expected later..and how the grass and flowers need it...but we can still swim. Have a wonderful Labor Day everyone. Time to get to the store and buy the goodies for the grill.

Its the first day of Spring here in Australia, and the day has been quite beautiful. We just finished a lot of rain, so everything is lovely and green. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a whole new summer wardrobe - its a nice time of the year and I want to feel as fresh as the season.

Greetings, and many hugs to you. It is so HAPPY to hear from somebody from my Peachy State. I wasn't born there, but I spend some of my teen and adult years there. So, I consider myself Georgian.
Well, here in the beautiful region of Lombardy, Italy is finally sunny. We've been having some rain lately. It's OK...this is by all means the lake district in the Italian pre-alps zone. Rain is always a blessing..
You're right is Labour Day weekend back home...God I miss it!!!
Very glad to hear from you and have a great day ma'am...
Cheers

We are having 100 plus days here in Northern California, so the main concern is just trying to stay cool. Everybody enjoy your three day weekend, and if you don't celebrate Labor Day,
enjoy the weekend anyway. Hug your children, or those close to you.

Thanks, and a good holiday to you also. I'm glad your weather got some rain and hopefully is cooler. You've had probably one of the hottest summers I can remember. I live in Eastern Pennsylvania and it's been cool for the most part, with an occasional week of 90 degree days. Hope it's a good mild winter.

It is a nice day today here in Maryland.
A nice day to go to the pool which we will be going in about
an hour. School started on Monday and today is the first day
school is closed so the kids in my county have a four day weekend. My boys have been keeping me busy today
but overall it is a good day in my corner of the world.

Had some deer out in the front yard today [my resident weed control guys], it's 15 degrees cooler today than it was this time yesterday, got a fresh pot of what we call "beanie coffee" [as in freshly-ground beans type] waiting for me downstairs...and a super-good 'tec novel to spend the afternoon with. What's not to love? Simple things, true, but counting blessings is the only math I do anymore!

Things are pretty good here in my little cubicle, they would be better if I were at home already enjoying the weekend, but I am thankful everyday that I have a job so many here in Michigan do not.
