My sister is having a baby, and I'm trying to come up with a name for the baby to call me. All the other Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents have really cute names, and I can't think of anything. My name is Whitney, and 'Aunt Whit' is just so bland. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

My niece and nephew from France call me Tata Amber. I love the Tata (spoken just like it looks ta-ta). There younger sister who was born here in the US calls me Aunt Amber. I like Tata a lot better.

The best nicknames come from the ones who love you; you can't really come up with your own nickname. Just let the baby know you are her "Aunt Whitney" and as life goes on the name will develop and you will be forever pleased by the sound in your head of the original name that child created just for you!

why not just love the child and let it decide what to call you when it is able to talk. it will likely come up with something more suitable and cute on the spot than you could ever force upon it. love the baby with all you have and it will become confident enough to be cute without your help.
