Can the cards tease you ? I've been going through some relationship problems and I kept getting the Two of Wands, meaning partnership. My friend says that they tease you, but I'm not too sure...

No, the cards are random. Are you sure you are mixing the cards before you sort? It is fun, but don't confuse tarot with reality. People see what they want to see.

Tarot cards, like any other divination tool, are just that... tools. They do not show you a definite future, only a possible outcome. Free will makes it impossible to say a specific event will occur or not occur. Can the cards tease? No, the cards aren't intelligent or malicious. They have no capacity for reason. Your interpretation of them may lead you to believe that they are teasing you, however.

Also, keep in mind that partnership has many different meanings. You may not be looking deeply enough.

I also have a set of Tarot cards, and they have been fairly accurate so far. I dont think they would tease you. Make sure you are interpreting the cards right or seek a professional to help you.

Firstly, the 2Wands does not indicate romantic partnerships. Wands primarily indicate business matters, not romantic or personal relationships. If the card continues to come up for you, examine your current life and see if you are instead collaborating with someone else on a business related matter. It may be helping or getting help from someone you work with, getting or giving advice or encouragement in those matters, etc.

The astrological decans associated with 2W is Mars in Aries, which will give you a clearer picture of the energies at work with that card, and how they may manifest. There is usually more than one manifestation of a given energy. For instance, it may be that you are helping someone at work, as well as collaborating with someone in another way.

Secondly, examine the other cards that are coming up in these spreads, and see what kind of impact they would have on the 2W. Are there clear indications that this card is specifically referring to your boyfriend? Are you involved in any kind of business with the boyfriend?

Thirdly, 2W can sometimes refer to partnerships, as I said, but the big thing about this card, and it's decanic association stresses this, is AMBITION--big plans for the future, drive to achieve, etc. Could it be that this card represents your HOPES and AMBITIONS for the relationship you speak of, and possibly that you are going at the relationship in a business-like way?? I would have to see the other cards involved to give you a clearer answer, but I encourage you to step back, and re-examine the cards you are getting in relation to each other, and what they really mean, not what you may hope that they mean.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

No, the cards are just what they say they are. Life on the other hand, can be a terrible tease.

Tarot cards are completely and totally false. They have been proven to be nothing more than a sham. It's even worse when they are sold as "Celtic" or "Native American" decks (or others) as neither of those cultures had anything to do with them -- it just points out the total money making aspect of it.
