What makes the music in the 80s so dominant and MUCH more appealing to listen to than music out now?

it wasn't all rap or ganster stuff and other people rule the airwaves and MTV. today MTV should be BETMTV not much other than rap on there today.in the 80's the music was geniune and cool and now there is not much talent and too much rap garbage out there.

Okay in the 80's I was a little kid to pre-teen and while the music was good, what was with the guys looking like girls. Nothing makes up for that. Boy George scared the S*it out of me lol. However, 80's TV versus now was much better, everything is based on sex and stupid reality shows now, there is ZERO creativity left, which I suppose I could use as an answer towards your music question to. No more creativity the world has become a much scarier lame *** place.

80's music is a billion times better than today's! 80's music is more original and unique than today. There was a wide variety of music to listen to. Different genres of metal, pop, new wave, rock, freestyle. Today we just have emo and rap. Everything about the 80's are better than today imo. The 80's had better, more unique clothes, hair, movies and t.v You don't know how much I wish I was alive then!
