If you drive how long is your commute?
I just went from an hour and a half (all expressway) to 40 minutes (back roads and expressway).

When I lived near DC it was an hour and 15 minutes each way to go about 15 miles from Rockville,MD to Falls Church,VA. Now that I live near Dallas it takes around and hour each way to get into the city( about 25 miles). All of this is expressway.

My commute is about 45 minutes in the morning and anywhere from 40 minutes to and 1.5 hours in the evening, depending how bad traffic is and what time of year it is. Summer's are the worst for traffic along I-5 in San Diego due to tourists and events going on. Fall and Winter traffic is much lighter and more bearable. I work about 30 miles from my home and the backroads and surface streets are not any quicker, I've tried. Although the drive along the coast highway isn't any faster but it's very scenic, so sometimes I do that; it's a little easier to deal with traffic looking at the ocean rather than 4 lanes of gridlock.

I live in NYC and take the subway to work every morning. My commute is usually about 10-15 minutes, and it's all underground so I never have to worry about traffic. I love it!
