Much debate whether meteorites fell during this period and erradicated the dinosaurs. Iridium is very rare on earth but is found in meteorites and other space debris.
So I would have to say the answer to your question is false, The layer of clay enriched with iridium between the sediments of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras is indicative of meteorite impact.

Probably false.
Current thinking is that the K-T boundary was marked by a catastrophic meteor impact.

Try this:
The layer of clay enriched in iridium between the sediments of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras is indicative of a large meteor impact event. It is currently thought that the crater of this impact event may be found off the coast of Yucatan, Mexico.

False. Iridium is indicative of asteroid impact. Not vulcanism. The statement should read : the layer of clay enriched in iridium between the sediments of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras is indicative of meteor or asteroid impact.

The iridium anomaly that marks the end of the Mesozic is believed to relate to a large impact. The related (now buried) crater is thought to be in Mexico.
