I have a question for jewish people but could be offensive?

why the people say the jewish people are rich? is that true all the jewish are rich ? the leaders of big companies are jewish and stuff like that.. if all the jewish are rich how do they do that?

Jews, as individuals, are not any richer on average than any other race or religion of people (yes, Jewish refers to both a religion and an ethnicity).
However, the Jews have traditionally, for many centuries, had a perspective of "communal wealth". That is, the good fortune of one individual is shared with others - if another Jew or community of Jews is in serious need, it is the moral duty of the more fortunate Jew(s) to help them. It's like a form of tithing.
Socially and culturally, there is a tradition that Jews place a high value on education, and therefore on business success by intellectual means (the stereotype of Jewish doctors, etc). So, like many stereotypes, it certainly isn't true of ALL or even most of the group, but there is some measure of truth in it.
As a whole, Jews around the world do command a great deal of wealth, but as individuals, they are just like anyone else, and there are plenty of other demographics that have accumulated impressive wealth as well.

Not that offensive. Not all Jewish people are rich, but some are. I'm going to try to give you a simple breakdown. This usually has to do with the pressure put on Jews as children for good educations, which often results in good paying jobs in the long run. In many Jewish cultures the education of their children is a number one priority, this goes way back to biblical times. (I'm a Jewish Historian) In the beginning of Christianity it was a sin to lend money for profit so this left all the "banking" as a Jewish trait. They were able to lend money and collect interest, resulting in a wealth unachievable by many Christians. As to why people say "all" Jews are rich, it's a stereotype, it's like saying all Italians are in the Mob, and all Irish are drunks. (Comments not meant to offend, but be an example)

Not all Jews are rich, in fact most Jews arnt.

Heather D is right, when I was a kid the only time you ever saw Jewish kids was during the summer since the rest of the year the kids were stuck at home studying and doing homework under the watchful eyes of there mothers.

It's a generalization, based on during the middle ages Jews often wear forbidden to own land, hence they became successful merchants.
