For those who say it is the Republicans are the only ones questioning Global Warming, answer this; how often do the French and Danes back the Republicans?

I do not think that many completely understand the problem and the probable major cause.

Most all will agree that the climate is warming (or "Changing" as it could freeze, as it has done so in the past) and generally speaking, with some anomalies, that was the case until the 1950's; it warmed gradually. Much of that warming could be caused mainly by nature.

However, the trend since the 1950's has been a rapid rise in Warming; hundreds to perhaps, thousands of times faster than before.

There has been several suspected causes, but, to my knowledge, only one major man-made cause has been significantly proven.

Jet aircraft came to age in the 1950's and the increase in "flights" follows the warming trend
... keeping in mind that world climate change is really a local effect not necessarily global (Ruthenberg, 2007).

There have been many studies around the world including NASA (Minnis, several) predicting that jet aircraft, with all of it effects (particulate, ice crystals, CO2, NOx, contrails, etc.), is a major cause of Climate Change.

However, it was not until the events of 9-11, when thousands of flights were grounded for 3 days in North America, that there was there a provable effect.

During those 3+ days, only 7 military aircraft flew in the U.S. And at the same time, the temperature dropped over the US area by over 1 degree Centigrade, diurnally!

That is pre-1950 record temperature, before commercial jets.

Surely, jet aircraft is provable and man-made cause of a significant amount of the problem.

What is more concerning, is that jet flights are predicted to grow massively in the next few years; mainly, as a result of the 2008 economic globalization treaties and other industry-government growth schemes.

Unless world government, lead by the U.S., "puts the brakes on" until, aviation technology can catch up to the two major problems (significant public heath problems and our climate problems), we are headed for very serious trouble, possibly in the very near future; the U.S. GAO and IPCC says that "technology alone will not help this problem.” (You must cut back on flights)

Who gives a crap about Global Warming.

We will all be killed by Nukes and Biological weapons or manufactured flu viruses before some freak storm kills us all!

Global Warming is happening, but its from the Sun and not man made, no matter what any Government sponsored scientists say.

The Republicans have their war money

The Dems will have their enviromental money

All going to the same evil agenda - Globalism

Its all about a Carbon Tax (we warned everyone about that two years ago and everyone said it was not true)

They have now said it themselves - "Carbon Tax"

It is to further erode the Middle Class

Making money from thin air (Global Warming) you can't see it but it there - the ice tells us so.

Now that is one hell of a scam

And the sad part is that tax will do nothing but further the police states grip and force us closer to the New World Order.

We are paying for our own destruction

You want to stop Global Warming - fly to the Sun with a giant fan - 100's of times the size of the Earth and turn it on, that should cool us off a few degrees!

Look NASA and others have already come out and admitted their warming trend forcast model were wrong and that no new annual record temperatures have occured for more than 70 years!

There are very many that believe it is likeley, maybe a slim majority, but we just don't have enough data. It's clear that there are some changes, but we really don't know enough about what the weather was like 500, 1000, 4000, 10,000 years ago to say for sure.

You would think the weather would be getting steadily hotter, but from what I understand the hottest year on record was in the 1930s or 1940s. Although some areas are clearly hotter than normal, other areas are colder than normal. So there are climate changes and shifts, but looking at it globally and historically, we'll only really be able to say in hindsight.

That doesn't mean that we shouldn't make all the efforts we can to reduce emissions and waste. What makes me sick is the celebrities telling us to buy green and use public transportation. And yet they're too good to get on a commercial airplane. Walk the talk.

Current global warming is still up in debate.
Remember that the earth is very big and getting empirical data for thousands of points on earth that is consistant can be a challenge. (There is a difference in accuracy between using 30 year old mercury thermometer in the middle of S. Africa and the digital thermomenter used in testing labs of europe and the US.)

Do CO2 and other gases trap heat? Yes. That is science 201.
Do a number of man-made objects produce that? Yes

Just remember that the ice caps are very thick and even if they do melt, the water level would only raise by 3-10 feet.

From an environmental standpoint, we should be arguing more of how we affect:
Soil erosion with deforestation and poor planning of farmlands
How the release of certain gases and chemcials in the air cause asthma, damage to the lungs and nose, and a very ugly looking city skyline.

If you fight to have tree in South America replanted (similiarly done by US logging industry.)
Fight to have all cars made before 1980 or 85 taken off the road and all cars MUST meet air guidelines
All new version cars continue to have reduced emmissions
Help developing nations (China, India, Mexico, etc) by also getting them into the mass market of newer cars
A swtich from pure coal/oil power generation to at least more use on nuclear.
And even do things locally to reduce your own output and waste.

Doing all of these will help the environment in known ways in the short term. And probably cut down on release of Greenhouse gases over longer term to help ease your fears of great grand children living in Minnesota dealing with 100 degree summers from April-October.

Global warming is merely another attempt by Satan to gain more control over our lives. It's got as much hard science behind it as does evolution.

I challenge anyone who would be brave enough to debate me in public on this. The global warming alarmists are full of bull and malarkey.

The problem with scientists is that many of them are what I call political scientists since they get their funding from the taxpayers. And since the owners of the Federal Reserve are really the puppetmasters of the Federal Government, and have a clear agenda to destroy America, most scientists go along with their BS so they can continue to get funded to tell us all the mating habits of Portuguese beetles and so forth

No. Most scientist do not accept the idea that man (or woman) is causing Global Warming. There's way too many variables in the data. Plus there's the fact that the ice caps of Mars are melting. Are you going to tell me that my SUV is melting the ice caps of Mars too?

The democrats and socialist countries around the world are heavily pushing the idea of man caused global warming because they want more government regulation. With more regulation, more power for them. Its all about control, really, not protecting the planet!

What is really happening is Solar Warming. The entire solar system is getting warmer because of the sun. The sun is most likely going through one of its cycles.....

Of the scientists in relevant fields, the large majority do agree that human activity is contributing to, not necessarily causing, climate change.

Not just theory, but in reality as well!

A majority of the scientists all believe that man is the culprit in damaging the Earth's Ozone Layers, its the world's leaders that don't want to accept this or don't believe it, maybe because they are more interested in making the hundreds of millions in profits from the polluted energy sectors.

My question to all of them is:

When your greed has destroyed the world in which we all call home, where do you intend to live? And do you think that all the money you made by ignoring this threat is going to save you or your family?

This isn't a question about your personal opinions people. Most scientists do believe that global warming is caused by man. Most people who watch Fox News and pull stumps out of the ground for a living do not.
