Since the election (appoinment) of 2000 no one could have possibly made something like all of this up for a story! If this isn't the most bizarre times for an administration in history of the U.S?

All of them ... since they were purposely teased with a financial carrot for their support of the Bush Administration ... the receipt of federal money for faith-based charities ... Charities?? ... yep right!!

The admin envisioned preachers at the pulpit admonishing their flock to vote republican, so they could cash in on the federal money ... this represents the most blatant attempt to buy massive voting blocks that I can recall in my lifetime.

Who cares??? Most folks vote either their conscience or their pocketbooks. It is no different with church leaders. They have every right to vote their way just like anyone else. And people can follow them if they agree with their point of view. Same holds true for celebrities. They have every right to their point of view and some people will agree with them. Its what we call FREEDOM. The only real problem we have in this country is accepting that others don't think like we do. We must continuously demonize the opposition rather then working together. How many times have you seen a political party consistently vote against some action and then when they get into power they do exactly the same thing that they were against only months before. Happens all the time. Just because we don't agree with some policies does not mean the other side is Satanic. This is how the Islamics treat one another and nonbelievers. I'm totally sure we do not want to go down that road. Just because there is descent does not prove one side is wrong or one side is right. It just means we disagree. This war will shape the lives of billions around the world depending on how it comes out. Either confront evil now or do it later. It really makes no difference. Someone is going to suffer-You, your children, or your grandchildren. The enemy has dained it so. The only real question is when and where to stop it. Choose wisely.

Ditto on regerugged except I would add that, aside from a handful of elected leaders like Ron Paul, neither the Republican nor the Democrats are willing to tell the American people the truth about many things including the Federal Reserve.

Most of them would. No church will endorse a party that is pro-choice, they view this as sinful and immoral. It may seem like a silly concern, but these are the facts, and they probably view your concerns as equally silly.

If you've never been down south, you would be surprised at some of the admiration church goers have for the Bush administration. In some cases, it really fits the picture of 'brainwashed' that many liberals describe.

The KKK has posed as a religious group from time to time. But I hear they are making noises about cutting down on their support for the republican party if something isn't done about Larry "Wide-Stance" Craig.

I'm not sure if they want him booted out or put on the ticket.

How many times can one say this? "Look at the alternative."

With regard to government giving money to "faith based initiatives" and thus buying votes, as mentioned below, my church refuses to accept government money on principle.

Liberals are constantly harping about separation of church and state. The ACLU sues everyone who is not liberal. Religious groups are wise to be religious and not political.

Mr. Bush is a good man. He has done some good things. He has done things I don't agree with. There is nothing bizarre about that.
