I don't believe that Ray Lewis was ever even ACCUSED of Murder. I believe he was also accused of a CONSPIRACY charge. That would have made him an accessory but not an actual killer. Eventually he went and made a plea deal where he pleaded guilty to OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE and had to testify against the co-defendents. Clearly if they thought he had taken part in the actual murder they wouldn't have let him plead down so far. As to the goof that says well Vick isn't in jail yet, that is because he hasn't been SENTENCED yet. Sure he is out on his own recognition but is basically under house arrest. He had to give up his passport(and his dog breeding license) and he isn't allowed to leave the area without the permission of the judge. That's part of how Goodell could tell him not to go to training camp without any real argument. Also Vick probably should have just gone to jail after pleading guilty because then he would have like 3 months to be listed under time served.

What I want to know is whycome you can't find the word whycome in the dictionary?

Ray Lewis didn't actually kill anybody, he was with people who did, but he should have gotten more than just obstruction of justice. Vick actually killed the dogs, and on top of that, he was running an illegal betting operation.

First thing, Ray Lewis didn't kill anybody. The police only accused him of murder because he didn't want to talk to them about what happened and the reason why nobody is in jail is because the police investigated the case poorly. He had no idea that his friends would decide to go and shoot somebody and it is perfectly understandable that he would be emotionally shaken and not want to say anything after seeing one of his friends commit a murder. The police blew the investigation (of course, what they did to Ray Lewis made it more difficult for them to gather evidence) and the prosecution blew its case.

Michael Vick had clearly been involved in this dogfighting ring and it is certain that he personally killed numerous dogs. Ray Lewis was merely a witness to a murder, which is unsolved because the police blew the case.

I've been wondering that for 7 years! They must not have had much evidence to convict Lewis. I think all the witnesses are dead. He makes me sick every time I look at him though. Maybe our new Commish will clean things up and get the criminal element out of football. Why do you have a Mike Vick avatar? He committed terrible crimes for 7 years. He is done playing football. Forget about him and get a better hero!

Ray Lewis did not kill anyone. He was a witness to a stabbing and then he lied to the cops about it. He later made a plea bargain and pled guilty to Obstruction of Justice. Secondarily, when he meet with team owner and the commish, he admitted that what he did was wrong.

He wasn't convicted of murder.

At least use Leonard Little for your stupid example since he actually killed someone. Throw him out in the trash with Vick.

St. Louis' Leonard Little is still rushing passers despite pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter after killing a woman while driving drunk in 1998, then getting stopped for drunken driving again just three years ago.
