A very good question. I at first thought it was a riddle. I think I have the answer. The answer is: IT depends. If you were stuck in the middle of the ship, during the plunge and you were locked in lets say a room, then there is a very good chance that you would either a) die form lack of oxygen or b)drowning because the window or the door will break due to water pressure. it you were swimming on a log and you got sucked into the wurlpool, then it would be drowning too. The only way you could die from the pressure is either something breaks or cracks and water pours in and drowns you, or if you magically pop up on the ocean's floor. P.S. ( it takes about 30-1 hour for the body to cool off in order for a person to die from hypotherrmia in the water.)

This is what I found:

No attempts even to locate the ship were successful until 1 September 1985, when a joint French-American expedition, led by Jean-Louis Michel of IFREMER and Dr Robert Ballard of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, sailing on the Research Vessel Knorr, discovered the wreck using the video camera sled Argo. It was found at a depth of 12,536 feet.
