There's a saying in Latin: post hoc ergo propter hoc. It means that, just because something happens first and then something happens second, it doesn't mean that the first caused the second. Your son is at the age where puberty is hitting. He's interested in smelling good and using men's products because his hormones are already acting up, so he puts something on, and then his hormones prompt hair (it's not pubic, that's only in the pubic area) in the armpit. It would have happened anyway.

I am pretty sure that the guy who asked this question does not have a 12 year old son and he IS the 12 year old son himself. Check his other Q/A's and it's fairly easy to tell that this person can not be over 15. Also, let's be serious any father knows this answer.
You are at the age where your body is changing and Old Spice deodorant has nothing to do with it. Also, for future reference the hair under your arms is not called pubic hair...

you have a 12 year old son and you don't know that under arm hair is not pubic hair? If he is 12 then he is entering puberty and that is when his hormones kick in, he sweats more, smells more and grows body hair. It has nothing to do with red zone or aqua reef. for you son's sake ask his father to sit the boy down and give him the 'you are becoming a man' speech, if you don't know the father or he isn't around, take him to your doctor.

If true, which I seriously doubt, it's pure coincidence. You don't really think any product would make it to the market without extensive tests first, do you? And if there was the slightest evidence that it affected your hormones that it would it be released for sale?
And if you were an adult, I doubt that you would refer to armpit hair (axillary hair) as "pubic hair in the armpit."

Neither of these chemicals, which is what they are, have any relationship to your son developing underarm hair. Certainly it is not pubic hair, that grows down around his pubic area. Neither product promotes or inhibits hair growth. If they did, they would be pulled by the FDA.

well-I had male hair at 11- and shaving at 14. If he was starting to have male puberty's "scent" and needed to use deodorant-then he was probably on the way to getting the armpit-pubic-rear end hair anyway-no real magic there.

i don't think there is a connection between the old spice and his growing body hair. odds are good that he's just approaching the age when his body is starting to mature and body hair growth is just a natural reaction that we all go through.

He is going thru puberty, the hair is incidental, and it isnt pubic hair in the armpit, just hair.

Kids can tend to make something more than it is. If you are sure this is what is causing it then contact the company. I am sure you would hate put this on them though. He is just at that age. Either way it would have happened around his age regardless. If you are really concerned discontinue use.

I hope this is a joke. He's in puberty, as his friends are. And if he keeps wearing Old Spice, the only thing he'll accomplish is no one will want to date him ;)
