Why do spiders put three of their legs up in the air once in a while?

I have seen this with Spiders and tarantulas. It freaks me out.

Maybe they get cramp in their legs after spinning a web.

Because they are creepy and they want to freak us out!! It makes them looker bigger and more mean!! Needless to say it works everytime!!
