factorise 15 means break 15 down into it's factors so
factorise 15 gives 3 x 5
factorise 30 gives 2x3x5
or in algebra
factorize 2xyz+6wxy^2 gives 2xy(z + 3wy)
factorise x^2+5x+6 gives (x+2)(x+3)

or the opposite
expand 3x5 gives 15
expand 2x3x5 gives 30
and in algebra
expand 2xy(z + 3wy) gives 2xyz+6wxy^2
expand (x+2)(x+3) gives x^2+5x+6
