I collect coins and I came across some bills that, I believe, may be of value. Is there anywhere I can find out?

Amazon.com:numismatics is a chat room I think where you can discuss them and send images to numismatics (The study of money) experts. You can contact coin dealers in your area for appraisals but use more than one or you may get the only crook of the lot the first try. Good luck.

P.S. If this works out and they turn out to be really, really valuable I'll contact you about my fee.

If you had listed what you have I may have been able to help. Most sites are a hit and miss thing. They are usually trying to sell you something and you have to find the sites that are selling what you have. Most sites that have some info are not free. I get 2 coin paper per week, plus a world coin and U.S. paper money magazine each month. They do have prices but I get them more for learning about coins and currency, than the pricing, but use them to help people here. you can try a couple of dealers in your area but make sure they know currency well. A regular coin dealer will not do when it comes to notes.

Your best bet would be to take your currency to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the bills. They will also know the amount printed and what they are going for in today's market.

Try posting pictures on this website (there are many coin and bill experts here that can help you evaluate it - there also may be people willing to buy if you are trying to sell):
