I try not to be callous about it, but when it comes to bad news, I believe in candor.
Trying to sugar-coat it only delays the inevitable, and often makes it harder to get the message across.

I used to sugar coat every damn thing... with about 15 layers of sprinkles. Now, I'm pretty blunt... I may say it in a nicer way, sometimes... but for the most part if it concerns me enough, you'll know how it is. Good q! <3

It depends on the situation. A lot of people think being blunt is superior because it's just honesty, but there are times that it can be downright cruel. If a person cares about others feelings, perhaps being blunt isn't always the way to go. You can be honest, but in a sensitive way. You don't always have to come out and say, "Yeah, your breath reeks like a sewer after Christmas dinner." Just say, "Well, yeah, you need a breath mint." It's honest, but people won't want to kill you.

It depends on who I'm talking to. I'll be blunt to a good friend or relative, because they deserve the truth & if I sugar coat it, they might not understand everything. I'll sugar coat it if I'm talking to a friend/aquaintence or a stranger.

Depends who i'm talking to. In my personal life, i'm blunt, but in the business world, a lot of times i have to sugar coat things to clients, if i don't i would loose clients, and that wouldn't be good.

ideally, i should say, it depends on the situation but then again most of the time, i tend to put sugar coatings on my words first and foremost especially to people with authority (lol) besides thats just me, bluntness for me is nothing but a reaction i give.
