Someone in America needs to send me money in the UK quickly, but can't use their paypal account. It takes 10 days for anything he sends by post to get here, and it's quite a large amount of money, so it might not be safe enough. Neither of us have a credit card. Any other ways?

He should be able to wire the money to you in a bank to bank transfer. There is a fee, but since it's a large amount, that shouldn't be much of an issue. He'll need your banks wire transfer info. You can get the details on just how to do it from your own bank.

I agree on wireing the funds but there are fees a standard foreign wire fee is a flat 45.00 then since all foreign wires go through one of the bigger banks in new york they charge another fee between 20-35.00 and the only way you can wire is to actually have an account at a bank with collected funds in this account and that means you need to make sure the checks you deposit have cleared the bank.
