Your subconcious mind is a wealth of information, all things seen, read, thought, dreamed, fragments of the day fragments of life and memories.it was first documented by Sigmund Freud as he saw it as a way to cure his psycho patients of their neurotic and psychotic disorders as they could regress to the early childhood formative years that developed their personality. We do not have direct acess to our subconcious mind but some say it is the root of our mental problems. The Road less travelled says that the subconsious part of us has a much greater wisdom and it is the inevitable goal in life to bring that which is unconcious to the concious so we may truly know ourselves. In the early 1900s sigmund freuds theories and ideas inspired a new artschool called the surrealists headed most infamously by Salvadore Dali where he would acess this aspect of our minds in dreams so as to gain ideas for his art. the persistence of memory for example. His paintings give us a tremendous insight into this unconcious realm. Some theorists for example Carl Jung note the idea of a collective unconcious which humanity as a whole posess with memories of the past and archetypes that transcend race and culture,so proporting the idea that we are born into the world with an intrinsic knowledge

Subconcious mind (SM) is behind a concious mind (CM). When one is actively participating in any act then only CM is taking part. SM is active only when a person is thinking & not actively involved in any activity such as meditation etc. or thinking. SM plays a very important roll in career development, inventions, discoveries & making any important decision. Based on SM's planning CM then actively implements what SM has decided earlier. So SM is the boss.

In your dream you go through many incidents, Sean's and situations. You will not be able to see yourself, but still you, after woke-up, recollects the dream. There it is even if you sleep, does not look for yourself, you still have the feeling of experience. The "One" which has the same is called Sub-conscious Mind.

The feeling that you are going to make something wrong. It starts from the inputs you have already fed to your mind. If a child is grown as a thief or a girl as a prostitute, the will not feel guilty when they practise their profession.

Every thing you have seen, done, or thought about doing is there. You can train your muscles to react without thinking about it " martial arts" and the brain is the same way, you do it every day, think about the last time you drove a car or walked down a street?

It's the center of your mental essence. You cannot reach it, access it or program it. All that you have dealings with in your conscious state, is "formatted" into the subconscious for use in the future. Kinda like experienced knowledge.
