Today someone brightened my day by e-mailing me a bunch of Maxine cartoons and quips. The one that got me guffawing was this:

"Do you realize that in 40 years we'll have millions of old women running around with tattoos and navel piercings? That's Scary."

Hmm. Crepe paper roses, anyone?

Maxine? I Adore Maxine! She is my hero!

In 40 years the old women will be wearing tattoos and naval piercings, that is scary! Makes me wonder what the young girls will be wearing :(

Yes, I do like Maxine, my friends watch for Maxine-isms in the media, and send them to me. Hallmark really had a good one there, Maxine might well be their biggest seller. And she and you are right, the nation is graying, and what a great idea to market to the baby boomers on a grassroots [or gray roots]level. Growing old by Maxine.
"Trust me, loose skin and tight jeans are a bad combination. "
Priceless advice. LOL.
