Yes some times...You never know when one of those people could be Jesus Christ testing you. My Brother showed me some thing one time though, we were walking in a parking lot one day and this man came up to us and was doing sign language to us. He showed us a paper that was written on, a message saying that he was trying to make some money so he could eat. That he was deaf. Well we gave him some change and he started to walk off. My Brother said ; You have to be careful with certain people Sis. I asked him why do you say? He said watch. He let the guy get a few feet away from us and my Brother whistled really loud and I was shocked! The deaf man actually turned around and looked at my Brother and me. My Brother told him to be careful who he was going to cheat because the next person might not be so kind...It's sad that there are some people who would do such awful things just to support their habits!

My boyfriend usually does.

We live in Chicago and on some streets, there is a homeless person every few steps and I tend to get a little bit aggravated after the first few because I'd like to help all of them but sometimes, I'm just trying to catch the train.

So, my boyfriend brings some change along specifically for them and drops it in their cups whenever we're able.

Yep- the idea people sit on the street asking for small change as a lucrative career choice is a questionable one. What really does my head in is people who act as if they aren't there- if someone asks you a question in a civilised manner, it at least merits a response, even if that response is 'no'. There's too many imbeciles all too happy to enjoy the trappings of civilised life without taking on even the most simple of it's responsibilities (whether you can even call yourself a civilised society when people are living on the streets is another matter entirely)/

Yes. Sometimes. I live in area where they are planted in the same spot everyday. Once at christmas time I went to Tim Horton's for coffee before work and saw two of the regulars sleeping against a wall. I went back in the store bought four donuts and two hot chocolates and gave them to the men. I just felt so guilty splurging while they were huddled in the blowing snow trying to survive.

Yes I have. I've been on their end of the glass. It's not fun. I always have a few coins and sometimes, fresh fruit to hand out.

When ever I go down town, if I can, I'll take along a few apples or oranges and give them to the poor guys out there.

Yes, of course. I've also given them food, if I've had it. Why not? So what I haven't eaten yet? I have a fridge with food at home. They may not have eaten for a few days!!! Yeah, some do buy drugs, but some are genuinely hungry.
