Okay honestly there's no way my son could be a weenie, because with my husband's genes he would just be able to beat everyone up. But I don't want his name to be made fun of. So which name sounds the best for a future football player and hottie?
Ethan James
Owen Patrick
William Edward
Dillon Thomas
Gregory Vincent

Okay the whole football player, hottie thing was totally just a joke! I just want a good strong name. I don't care if he ends up being something else...like a super smart math geek. I just want a good name!

Oh my, some of you have no sense of humor what-so-ever. By the way, I already am the mom of 3 girls. And I totally rock at being a mom too! You are just jealous because I'm cool and you're not! Okay, I'm usually not like this.

Seriously, I never even knew there was a poet named Dylan Thomas. I'm leaning more towards Owen Patrick and Gregory Vincent anyway.

Oooo I love Owen Patrick (And Im not biased at all because my son's middle name will be Owen or because my maiden name is Owen;) )

Really, I like them all except Dillon Thomas. Dylan Thomas was a Welsh poet and all I can think of when I hear the name is sitting in class being forced to recite "Do not go quietly in to that good night".

Honestly, I adore all the rest.

If you really want a strong name I would go with Ethan James (two of my favorites by the way). With Owen Patrick as a runner up. Speaking of weenies, Willy could be a nickname for William (just keep that in mind). They all sound like strong names, good luck!

I know a 4yr old Ethan, big weenie. Out of the names you put up, I like Owen Patrick, and Dillion Thomas. What about Marshall as a middle name? Jason is also a good name. I know A know a few Greg's, and they are cocky. William is a good name, but don't like it with Edward. Remember to let the name roll off your tongue and not spell a word or anything with the last name included. Looking forward to seeing your future NFL player....play....

Every name has the potential to be made fun of - every name ever - so don't agonize over it too much. You want to avoid names that might be very obvious to make fun of, but kids are creative, they will make fun of even a simple name.

I think they are all good names but like William Edward the best. At least as long as your last name doesn't start with 'E'. If it did - he would be halfway to weenie.

I like Owen Patrick. I have 3 school aged kids, and haven't heard of an Owen yet. (elementary, Jr.High, & High school) maybe it is getting popular in the pre-school kids. I also haven't heard any Gregory's so Gregory Vincent is nice too. Ethan and Dillon are too common (and a little wimpy)
