I have been invited to a party and it is 90's themed, but I have no idea what I should wear.
I thought that we dress pretty much the way as in the 90's ....... so can anyone tell me what kind of things to wear or show pics.

The previous poster gave 80s ideas. When I went to high school in the 90s, I lived in comfy oversized flannels, jeans and real Chucks. (Not the stuff that Nike makes now, but Chucks when Converse owned Converse, not Nike.)

I would say more like the grunge era. a plain tee shirt with a flannel over it, some jeans and sneakers or boots. Maybe your hair in a low braid or something, if its long enough. Or you could go early 90's which is a lot like the 80's. Maybe leggings with a dress that has a tiered skirt, flats, and some teased poofy hair.

Watch some 90s videos by Xcape, SWV, and TLC and watch a few rerun episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. A lot of the clothing was really baggy. They had plaid shirts (similar to the grunge movement that was going on at the same time), baggy jeans, boots, winter scull caps. This was also the time of Cross Colours, Skids, and Guess jeans.

- sweat bands with your hair in a side ponytail
- workout outfit like in 'let's get physical'
- light wash levi's jeans
