Nikki likes Mike. Mike likes Jaclyn. Jaclyn likes Conrad. Conrad likes Brianne. Brianne likes some other boy. Everybody is mad at each other. They're all 15. Can I just shove them into their lockers for the 3-day weekend?

To make things even more "interesting" none of these kids are even allowed to date until they're 16.

Nikki is mine.

Oh I feel your pain! I feel it! I have a sixteen year old (just turned) and they drive me crazy! I don't ever remember being so dramatized. This child since the day she hit puberty it has been drama, drama, drama! The boys who likes who and who hates who and who is wearing what and did you see her hair? Look at her nails. Mom, my hair is straight I can't go outside with straight hair or today it is straight and it is supposed to be curly and her shoes aren't right and then her something else doesn't fit or whatever. Girls, girls, boys are easy to raise! Mother of three girls and one son.

They're 15 years old and while the world does revolve around them at this age and everything is super dramatic --- they'll get over it. They're 15!!! In 5 years they probably won't even speak to each other. For now tell them all to just be friends with whomever they "like" and leave it at that. Otherwise it sounds like the makings of some kind of orgy. Ridiculous. They are 15.

Well I have somthing to look forward to in a few years. I have a 13 year old boy. Wow, I don't remember that much drama at age 15, but I am sure it happened. Yeah go on and shove them into the lockers LOL

LOL.....been there....done that. I understand the frustration. Kids can create some serious love triangles, can't they? Instead of shoving them in their lockers for the weekend, you should leave town. Left on their own, maybe they can end the "Young and the Restless" drama.....LOL

Happy Friday!

Get her to write poetry...one of the best Mexican poets there is called Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, used to write about such matters (and she was a nun...imagine that)

Teenagers will be teenagers my friend, they all need a little heartbreak once in a while to start realizing what life is about, they don't call them "crushes" for not being hard...they crush you a little, and then you come back up with a little more knowledge.

Ha, we all went through that.
Except we didn't tell our parents.
I think back to alot of things my daughter has talked to me about, and I realize I have done the same things too or been through the same things.
And what did my Mother do to help me through it?
Nothing.
She did nothing.
You know why? Because I never told my Mother 1/2 of the things I went through. It just seems like we didn't talk to our parents back then, like our children talk to us today. Which is a good thing, except it makes "us" (parents) go through those times all over again. And especially when we want to "save" our kids from going through it, so if they would just do what we tell them to do, maybe they wouldn't have to go through it.
Yea, right, they don't listen...they do it their way anyway, and drag us right through it all over again.
But I am thankful that my children talk to me about their problems...lf only they would "listen" to me ;)

Are some of these children yours? Get yourself a responsible babysitter and go away for the three day weekend and enjoy yourself. I remember my kids at this age.

Take them to the fire department and have them spray them down for an hour or so.

High pressure water always does the trick when dealing with teenagers.
