Is there any scientifically gathered empirical data supporting the belief that homosexuality is a concious choice?

There's more evidence about us being evolved from primates than from dirt and a spare rib.

But it doesn't stop some people from believing what they want =/

Homosexuality isn't a choice. There are some signs that it might be somewhat genetic though. Whatever the reason, nobody chooses their orientation they just are.

This doesn't apply to all gay men, but on average more gay men show signs of gender bending at a VERY young age. For example I wanted to play with dolls when I was four. Now what does liking dolls have to do with being a grown gay man and liking d1ck? Maybe not a goddamn thing, but the evidence is there. Also in males homosexuality is linked with left-handedness. It's also a lot more in-born than lesbianism, but no dyke chose who she was either.

Don't misinterpret what I said. Gay men are still men, not women and our sexual behaviors are still very much similiar to that of heterosexual and bisexual men - and all guys. (Men are pigs but we love bacon) But we gender bend a lot more often they do naturally at an early age.

It depends on your definition of "scientifically gathered." I'm sure there's some biased "research" out there, but considering the amount of data that supports it not being a choice, I can't believe it has any basis in fact.

No there isn't, in fact the majority of all homosexuals will testify that they did not choose their sexuality. Unless there is a conspiracy going on (that requires one to choose to put up with the verbal and physical abuse that can occur with it), it's not a conscious choice.

That said, it is still not understood wholely what DOES cause homosexuality. To be honest, I'm kinda glad that it isn't know. As soon as people know what causes it they'll be trying to cure it...

None at all. PFOX (looks em up, bunch of nuts) believe they have evidence gays can be made straight, ie it is a choice. However apparently it is a temporary condition. Even the spokeman for Focus on the Family who was their famous gay-turned-straight turned out to be gay the whole time. He married a lesbian who had supposedly gone straight too. This is so good, you couldn't make it up.

I never made a conscious choice and i don't know anybody who did. weather it's nature or nurture is one thing, but it's certainly not a CONSCIOUS choice.

Many people equate not being nature with being a choice made by the individual.
