Would you like to have a picky spouse who seeks improvements by pointing out even those things which in your view might be your minor unharmful bad habbits, but he sincerely doesn't want to see them in you, because of his intense love for you.

OR

A one who lets you live your life in your own way, by only focusing on the good aspects of your personality and ignoring anything about you that might make him uncomfortable (or make him judge your personality), because he loves you so much that he doesn't want to let anything enter his mind that might cause a bad impression of you (even though such life might have some minor flaws regarding which you don't really care to give a thought to) ?

Certainly not the first. I'm an adult, I am who I am...so long as my bad habits aren't hurting anyone or destroying my health, he should accept me for who I am and not want to change me.

Somewhere in the middle. If something is really offensive and makes me look terrible to the world, I would want him to be honest with me about it. If it is just some silly little character flaw that means nothing, accept it as part of my personality. It is what makes us different that makes each of us an individual. I find some flaws endearing.

I would pick the one who really sees me for who I am (flaws and all) and loves me--all of me. Since I think we have a responsibility to each other, I would pick the one who would would lead me rather than push me towards self-improvement, e.g. taking me on a hiking vacation with him rather than nagging at me that I'm fat and should go exercise.

I guess this would be neither of the candidates above.
