Probably quite a few, just follow the trail of the staunchest supporters for anti-gay legislation.
When will the right wing religious radicals realize that when you repress your homosexual tendencies, it will eventually lead you to ruin?
Look, there are a lot of homosexuals in America. Many are openly gay, many are privately gay, and many are self loathing gays. It is the last of the three, the Ted Haggards and Larry Craigs of the world, that are the most dangerous.
Men like these are openly vile to homosexuals, pushing anti-gay legislation persuading gays to live in secrecy all because of their own self hatred for being gay themselves. Then they get caught and arrested for deviant activity they perpetuated by creating the laws that pushed them into these acts.

at least hundreds, if not thousands.
what i can't understand is why any gays (closet or otherwise)would belong to a party that doesn't openly accept their lifestyle. if my political party had an issue with my being a heterosexual, i would tell them to piss off

Who cares? As long as they are not committing crimes or being complete hypocrites, it shouldn't be a issue.
