man of low knowledge . . . . needs more your understanding
man as you are is more than the animal
plants that react to sunlight and to its surrounding has life might have also knowledge
animals are more knowledgeable than plants
You can not call a plant a fool for he cannot move but it gives you fruit
neither the animal for he cannot communicate but it can serve
so don't call a man a fool for he cannot give you food or he cannot serve.
he is a man that needs your understanding.
he is the next higher than you are
next to animals and next to plants
he is life
. . .
. ..
everyone have done a fool thing
everyone must understand each fool
so don't think foolish thing to a fool
so no one is fool

Of course.

Parents do it to you, older relatives, siblings, teachers etc will do it to you.

It is a favorite teaching tool. It cements the lesson, it makes you think.

The momentary state of embarrassment was intended to make you rethink your position and shame you into learning more about the subject. It is neither sinister nor cruel.

At least, it is not supposed to be. When it becomes cruel and unusual, then the intent is evil, and the results damaging to your psyche. Plot your revenge ! Lol

One time I was with my brother in law and I was talking about this show I saw on factory jobs and how hard it is to make a living when you work in a factory. I laughed and said "Wow, I'm SO glad I went to college!" COMPLETELY FORGETTING THAT MY BROTHER IN LAW WORKED IN A FACTORY. He just sort of chuckled. I quickly changed the subject and felt like the biggest dolt and I still feel bad about it, even though my sister in law divorced him and I haven't seen him for 3 years!!!

Yes, and after having been made to look like one, I acted like one too.....!. Sometimes it is best just to walk away and say nothing, no matter how stupid you look, or they think you look ...just walk...hold your tongue.
