Make sure your cables are securely plugged in at both ends.

Your monitor probably has some colour adjustment settings, there should be an option to reset these to the factory values. If not, adjust the red and blue up and the green down.

If this is a CRT it is possible that something has changed in the CRT and you will not be able to fix it.

if this is a picture tube monitor (non LCD) you may be loosing one of the colours in the picture tube. If you loose one of the primary colours (red, green or blue) it will cause the monitor to change perminantly. Unfortunatly, if this is the case, it's irriversable and it's the end for your monitor.

You may also check the connections at the back of your pc. Unplug the connecter and make sure none of the pins are bent or missing. Make sure it is reinstalled securly, tightining both screws all the way.

someone may have messed with your settings, you might be able to fix the color problem by going into the monitor menu and resetting defaults if you can or just changing the colors your self until it looks normal again. Other possibility is your monitor is old and going out i have a monitor from one of my very old computers where everything is yellow now.

good luck

Check if the cable at the back is properly plugged.
Happened to me once, orangish, greenish stuff all over the screen. Then I found out that the cable at the back was loosen.

you may want to try changing the color to 16bit and then back to 32bit, or just change to resolution to 800x600 then back to where you originally had it. What i mean is, your video card may just need to be refreshed. if that doesn't work, you may need to upgrade the video card driver!

BUT FIRST!!!

go through your monitors menu and in the color section, the red and blue may be turned down and the green all of the way up. I would explain how to change it, but every monitor is different, so there are multiple possibilities!

1. this could be due to the moisture inside the monitor

2. due to other magnetic , electronic equipment near the monitor most commonly speakers.....if your monitor have a degauss function then just turn it on and you monitor will adjust it self to the magnetic field around it

3. Your monitor is way to old ...that it is malfunctioning......
