How come on American tv shows somone always has to look at the camera and say "America"?

ALL realitly tv shows, Burny Mac, entertainment shows (ET, etc.), News shows. Watch prime time TV tonight, you'll see it.

I've always seen "Hi Mom!" Have not seen "America." What type of show was it?

Well considering I'm not on an American TV show, I have no idea.

I think you mean like American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance (searching for "America's favorite dancer"), shows like that. That's probably just to show that people in other countries are not eligible... I mean, how many American TV shows do you watch? You shouldn't just stereotype like that.

'...ON AMERICAN SHOWS...' All American shows? Never saw it.
And if someone DID...what's wrong with that? It's an AMERICAN show in AMERICA. Are you ashamed of YOUR country? I'm not.
