GRAIN PRODUCTS- such as breads, pastas, cereals- is the largest. Based on your personal diet you need 5 to 11 servings a day.
FRUITS- such as apples, oranges, grapes- you should be getting 2 to 4 servings a day.
VEGETABLES- such as lettuce, squash, green beans- 3 to 5 servings per day is average.
DAIRY- milk, cheese, yogurt- you need 2 to 4 servings per day.
MEAT & MEAT ALTERNATIVES- meats are beef, chicken, seafood, pork & meat alternatives are eggs, nuts, beans (like pinto beans or kidney beans) and soy products- you need 2 to 3 servings a day
FATS/OILS/ SUGARS- such as butter, lard, candy/sweets, sodas, mayo- should be consumed moderately.
