having a party for my 21st in a few weeks. I want to do something different to everyone else!! MY plan is to decorate the room all in 2 matching colours Red / silver. Im getting all retro sweets like sweets that were around when me and my friends were young.
Want to get glow sticks / Straws to scatter around the tables? Tacky or not?!?!?!

The party idea sounds cool... the glow sticks are a tiny bit overboard... maybe you could turn all the lights off and just have the glow sticks on at one point during the party! Or just hand them out as party favors.

Think it's a great idea, although I don't think they come in red or silver! The place where we had our office party last year had loads of glowsticks scattered around the tables, and they were great fun. And yes, it may be a little tacky, but it's your birthday, so you can do what you want!!!

I love your plan...but I think the glow sticks are a little tacky. Like your theme is "retro" and the glow sticks kind of ruin that theme.

Its cute...but glow sticks come in pink, green, blue, purple...not red and silver. However, its not tacky. Its a cute idea. ♥
