I know that Rudy is the one I allign with politically but I don't trust his judgement as much as I would like to.

McCain is good but I hear people say he is too old.

I see Romney briefly but haven't heard him speak as much. Is he intelligent?

Bwahahahaha.... I thought you said this was a "Serious question".

Trustworthy & Politicians are on two different ends of the spectrum.

Something I look at when I can't decide which candidate to go with...

Obviously honesty pops right up there...

But who has lead people before? Non of the four leading candidates from the democrat party have ever managed anything more than papers and documents. Non have had to make pivotal or vital decisions that reflect on the people they're representing.

They're only paper pushers.

Of the Republicans, Rudy Giuliani (Mayor of New York City), Mitt Romney (Governor of Massachusetts) and Mike Huckabee (Governor of Arkansas).

Those candidates have been in positions to make decisions on behalf of Citizens, Cities and States.

John McCain has already made an unsuccessful White House bid in 2000, Ron Paul (Texas congressman) ran in 1988 for president as a Libertarian - can't decide what party he's in but he's delivered 4000 babies... lol

Fred Thompson filled Al Gore's vacated Senate seat in a 1994 and so far can't make a commitment as a candidate but he has a huge following.

NO, I don't believe it is possible to get as far in politics as to run for the president of the United States and still be trustworthy or have any real integrity!

This is sad, but it is our system that produces these crooks. I was once told by an older and wiser person than I that all politicians are crooked. So take a close look at your choices and vote for the one that their crookedness will do you the most good!
Hope I said that in a way that you can understand it!

In terms of fiscal policy and quality of life for Americans, Rudy has been consistent. I could not say that he is consistent with traditional Republican party planks.

McCain is a hawk. If that bothers you, stay clear. Reagan put the age issue flame out a long time ago.

Romney has a proven record of accomplishment. Fiscal policies are sound, and his approach to getting everyone health care in Massachusettes is the only 'different' plan in actual practice. He has spent a great deal of time abroad, particularly in rural France. He's all over the map on the hot-button items that the media loves but the president can do little about anyway eg. Abortion, gun control.
Has a good plan for immigration. Wants to expand legal immigration, end illegal immigration and no amnesty.

Setting his religion (mormon) and the media hot-buttons aside, he's a viable candidate.

If you are talking about the candidates for president, the only true conservative is Ron Paul. Most politicians are somewaht trustworthy and I tend to believe they all sincerely want to do good work. The question is, who can do what he or she says they want to do. Mitt Romney sounds fairly intelligent and seems to be up to date on most issues. Rudy Guilliani is counting far too much on name regocnition and the association with being mayor on 9/11. His personal life and his politics are both a muddle.

Please don't make such a gross generalization that all republicans are not trustworthy. Republicans, like democrats, independents, libertarians and people of any other political party are INDIVIDUALS, and need to be looked at as such.

I think McCain is not too old, and age is not as important as overall experience in my opinion.

As for Romney, to have gotten as far as he has, he must be intelligent. That does not mean he is the most effective leader - that's up to you.

As far as Rudy goes, you have to think about why you don't trust his judgment.

You need to research the candidates yourself and decide who you think will make the best candidate and the best President for our country.

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet, and remember that everyone is entitled to their OWN opinion, so don't rely on other people to make your decision for you. It's your vote. Claim it. Use it.

Romney is intelligent.

He helped clean up the Olympics in Salt Lake.
Former Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
He was fiscally Conservative here, ran as a pro choice candidate, and then "realized" when some bill about stem cell research was presented to him, he changed to pro life.
He is Mormon, if religious beliefs factor into your decision.

This election is a first for me. I never thought I'd ever vote for a republican esp after the disaster we call the Bush administration. But I found a canidate who really inspires me. I will be voting for Ron Paul. He is anti-war, wants to lower taxes for the middle class and poor, voted no against the Patriot Act, voted no against the amendment banning gay marriges. He believes the United States should have a non-intervenionlist forgien policy where we trade and negiote with other countries instead of fighting useless wars where so many innocent people die. He wants to drastically reduce the debt the United States is in and restore our country to the democracy it once was. Finally we have a voice for the people.. one that isn't backed by corporations and lobbyists.. but by the people.. Ron Paul is a man of his word.. just check his track record.. He knows where he stands on the issues, unlike other canidates whose stances seem to change from week to week.. I truly believe he can boost the morale of this country and restore a democracy for the people not just for the elite...

To even use the words 'trustworthy' and 'Republicans' in the same sentence indicates you haven't been paying attention...
