A fictional injury is when someone files a claim for Workers Compensation benefits when there really was no injury. People do it to get out of work when they normally can't because they'll try to get the doctor to take them off work. When that happens, then they still get paid while they can't work.

Yes, people do it all the time. It is a way that losers can milk the system for what they can. They try to get something for free that they don't deserve. They fake an injury and then get the worker's comp. benefits which in most states in 66-3/4 or your regualr pay.

"Fictional"? As in fake? Fraudulent? Not real? Yeah, I've heard of that. If Workman's Compensation finds out about that "Fictional" injury, they'll be pretty pissed off. I wouldn't want to be in that person's position... sounds like a bad idea, those fictional injuries.

Yes I have. Ppl fall down all the time at work....they may not necessarily be hurt, but they take advantage of the benefits that they can receive.

yes, a woman at my work claimed to have fallen down and hurt her back. When the security tape was replayed, it showed her laying down on the floor and calling for help. Man, was she embarrassed.
