Do you trust people you meet online, or do you strongly believe they are who they really say they are?

These days you can't even trust the people you already "know" face to face. You should always use best judgement and obvious discretion when doling out personal information. I am who I say I am and I answer all the questions I respond to with utmost sincerity. But, that's just me. How 'bout you? :)

I've actually met a couple of the people that I met online. I had somebody come down from Canada and somebody come from Georgia. We met on a HepC site and had known each other for 3 or 4 years, talked all the time on the phone, knew everything about each other (even our husbands!).
But, I don't trust everybody I meet online and wouldn't invite anybody to my home unless I was certain that the friendship was real.

I really don't trust anyone until I get to know them and they earn my trust. With so much going on these days I am even more skeptical when it comes to people online.

I trust a few
but I also know a few in person that are totally full of it on here

At least I give them the benefit of doubt! in the other hand if you don't trust the others why others must trust you?

I am still very cautious...I just don't want to be hurt! It takes me a good long while to really trust them & believe everything they say!

you have to get to know them first ,,
i have met a special person on line but we chatted for almost 2 years between the computer and phone before we actually met,,
some people on here are total morans,,
but you have to earn trust to have it ,,

Instead of staying online, they should seat down for a coffee and have a talk so they know each other better and they know who is who.

I met my husband online, but I'm still very cautious. People can lie, and mislead you.
