Interesting. Got anything you can cite to support that claim?
Gender alone doesn't make a person a better teacher. Skills, training, and experience do.

I see your point on this and many people do share you theory. On the other hand though I do not feel this way. If males only had male teachers and females only had female teachers how would the students learn to interact with one another, or learn anything about the opposite sex. In your situation obviously there would be an all girls class and an all boys class. I feel the students need interaction. You may say well what about an all girls or all boys school, they turn out fine. Well yes many of them do, but the difference is that there is a choice made to send the student there. Also with only male teachers and only female teachers teaching the same sex as themselves this would cause a huge rise in the need for male teachers, as many female teachers would be left in the dust. Currently we are at an all time low for male teachers in this nation only 24.9 percent. Obviously we both know that there are more than 24.9 of male students in our school system.
Thank you for submitting a question worth while!

Absolutely not, students do not always have both a male and female role model in their lives at home, and they need that. Children of any age need exposure to both male and female authority figures and role models.
I have seen no proof to support that gender effects teaching style. I think thats based on the person, and how they were taught, what they learned, and what they personally choose to do. Not wether they are male or female.

No and I disagree with you. If the teacher can convey the material in an understanding and comprehensible way, what does it matter what gender they are?
Are you unable to understand female teachers? That's something you need to work on. That sounds like a personal issue. Please pay attention to the material they're teaching and nothing else.

NO, even it could help males in some kind of socialogical way. Female teachers are able to give and provide insight on another realm.

Absolutely not. Some of my best teachers were women teachers. It is important for kids to be exposed to different teachers, different styles, and different kids in their classes.
