It's the motherly instinct that makes women want to have babies. I don't know when exactly, but it kicked in for me around age 19. It's a great thing.

Its a decision you make based on a feeling.
I've always known, ever since I was a little girl that I wanted to have kids. Even as a young girl I already loved my children, even though I didnt even know them, let alone know my husband.
Before I made them I knew who they were. Its a feeling like nothing else.
I love my son, he is everything I knew he would be. There is nothing else in my life that could ever make me more whole that serving my purpose, and for me, thats raising children.
From the moment of his birth, before I even recognized him, I would have killed for him without question.
Its a feeling, its a desire, its an instinct, its a choice, and it is a decision.

Yeah, I think it's just more instinctive for some. I've always known I'd want kids, but the Baby Fever got really bad once I got married!
I've always been "motherly" even to friends my own age. They know they can come to me for anything, and I love to comfort them. I know that's not all there is to being a mother, but I have that maternal instinct naturally. I can't remember not having it!

I thinks its maternal instinct when you feel you are ready to bring someone else into this world to share your love with, i think we all know when we are ready to have children, its both a feeling and a decision, feeling may be there but it may not be the right time so you decide to wait, or decide you are ready and go for it

I always knew I wanted to have kids someday....It was definitely a feeling...The decision part is based on "when"
to have kids..My husband and I started trying about 2 weeks ago.

its a real difficult question to answer and i used to wonder myself... well when i was young i was so scared of these things tht i used to think whether i would be able to survive all the pain and agony.. but i WAS WRONg.. now at 28 and TTC ... i really wanna have a baby... it comes from inside and it was not a decision... they say maternal instict ... so i guess this wht they mean... its from inside...

women just have a natural instinct to nuture. We learn that from our mother too. We start as little girl dressing our baby dolls and giving them a bottle.
